Qrypt’s membership will support the evolution of PKI and migration towards quantum-secure encryption

NEW YORK – March 8, 2024 – Qrypt, the pioneering quantum-secure encryption company, today announced it is joining the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Consortium, a dynamic alliance dedicated to enhancing trust and security within the digital landscape. As a member, Qrypt will further support awareness and education to urgently prepare for the quantum era and protect encrypted data by transitioning to quantum-secure encryption methods.

Qrypt is joining other leading cybersecurity organizations involved in the PKI Consortium like Qrypt’s partner, Thales, to continue improving digital security. The nonprofit organization brings together IT security professionals and top organizations dedicated to enhancing trust in digital assets and communication to develop policies, procedures, best practices, standards and tools for PKI. The united goal is to advance trust in digital assets and communication using PKI, as well as the security of the internet. Qrypt brings cutting-edge, quantum-secure technology and quantum experts to inform post-quantum cryptography (PQC) best practices and policies.

“Qrypt is honored to participate in the PKI Consortium to support cryptographic innovation and promote the need for PQC in the face of imminent threats posed by quantum computing,” said Denis Mandich, chief technology officer and co-founder of Qrypt. “This aligns with our own commitment to secure communications and sensitive data. We believe PKI is a pillar for encryption and the fortitude of modern enterprise security posture. To protect digital assets and communications from the quantum threat, we need to work together to support the evolution of PKI in a new world.”

Qrypt offers the only cryptographic solution capable of securing data indefinitely and remediates the “Harvest Now, Decrypt Later” (HNDL) vulnerability by eliminating key transmissions and protecting this process by using independently generated keys. Qrypt’s Quantum Secure Encryption generates one-time pads and symmetric keys at multiple endpoints, providing encryption that’s been mathematically proven to be unbreakable.

About Qrypt

Qrypt protects against the quantum threat through the seamless integration of quantum entropy hardware with cryptographic key generation software. When traditional encryption algorithms become obsolete, every byte of harvested data will be exposed. Qrypt eliminates “harvest now, decrypt later” (HNDL) risk and guarantees data privacy with its revolutionary peer-reviewed encryption technology. Available as-a-service, on-premises, or on any device. For more information and to learn more about Qrypt, visit www.qrypt.com.

About the PKI Consortium

The PKI Consortium is a dynamic collaboration of organizations committed to advancing trust and security through Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). By fostering innovation, best practices, and standards, the consortium empowers entities to strengthen digital interactions and secure the internet for all.
